In this scene study intensive, actors will have an opportunity to work with professional theatre directors from TLS Frankfurt and learn how to approach scripted text, looking for authenticity and honesty in their performances. The goals of the workshop are connection, commitment, listening, honesty, risk-taking, obeying your natural instincts, and operating in your body instead of “in your head.”
The actors will be assigned scenes and scene partners from Clean House by Sarah Ruhl*. Ideally workshop participants will be able to make time to read the play as this will be the core material for the workshop.
A maximum of 16 actors will be involved in the intensive. No audition or prior experience is required to attend.
*The text is subject to change based on which actors register for the workshop. All texts will be provided.
