Whether you’re developing your first production or looking to deepen your artistic vision\, a workshop with an experienced directing coach can help you strengthen your storytelling\, work more effectively with actors\, and bring your creative ideas to life with greater confidence and impact. \n4-Day Directing Practical Workshop  \nLearn:\n• how to analyze a script\n• how to talk to actors\n• how to stage movement\n• how to run rehearsals\n• how to choose a play \nGoal: By the end\, each participant directs a short scene and understands how to choose a first play and run rehearsals. \nTopics: \n\nhow to prepare your first production\nworking with designers\ncreating rehearsal schedules\navoiding first-time director mistakes\n\nEach participant creates a simple directing plan: \n\na play they might direct\ntheir rehearsal approach\nproduction challenges\n\nRequirements: \nEach participant is required to secure two to three actors to participate in the scene of their choice. \nJim’s Bio \nJim Phetterplace Jr. has a bachelor’s in Acting & Directing for the Stage.
