The FEST workshops on Acting for Beginners and Introduction to Directing in January and February were a great success.
Six FEST members participated in the Acting for Beginners course, which was run by FEST member, Jeff Book. In this course, participants learned the basic skills and techniques needed to take on a role and develop the character, as well as how to prepare for performances in order to perform confidently on stage.
Three FEST members participated in the Introduction to Directing workshop, which was run by FEST member, Jim Phetterplace Jr. In this course participants learned the basics of script analysis, character analysis and concept development.
We are looking into offering some more advanced workshops from late spring onwards.
