We will be holding auditions on 9 and 10 June for our production of “Rabbit Hole” by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Michael Ennis.

Performance Dates:
6, 7, 8 and 20, 21, 22 September at Kulturhaus, Frankfurt.

Play Description:
In the aftermath of a life-shattering accident, a married couple find themselves drifting perilously apart. “Rabbit Hole” charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places…and for a path that will lead them back up into the light of day.

The play premiered on Broadway in 2006, and Cynthia Nixon won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her performance as Becca. It was the recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Roles (sides available for download in the next section):
We are looking for actors who are interested in performing a drama with some comedic aspects.  Any experience level will be considered.

Becca—Howie’s wife in her late 30s, early 40s. She is usually very responsible and sensible, but is isolated by her grief over the recent death of her four-year-old son, Danny.

Howie—Becca’s husband in his late 30s, early 40s. He is very caring but has a hard time dealing with Danny’s death, which causes him to be angry and depressed, though he hides it as much as possible.

Izzy—Becca’s younger, irresponsible, but well-meaning sister. She is unwed but in a relationship, and has recently become pregnant.

Nat—Izzy and Becca’s mother. She is the voice of reason for her daughters. She provides motherly experience to Becca and a steady hand for Izzy.

Jason Willette—17-year-old (male who can play a 17-year-old) who blames himself for Danny’s death.
