Our Play Readings take place every month.
Sometimes we test plays we might want to perform, sometimes it’s just for fun. Well, it’s always fun!
We encourage folks to step forward and host the evenings and open their homes and pantry to the often lively, but always fun group.

Our March Play Reading was hosted by Alice Thomas (THANK YOU SO MUCH ALICE!) and the group read God of Carnage, a play by Yasmina Reza. In the play, two couples meet to discuss the alteraction their respective sons had in the park earlier. What starts out as a “mature” discussion devolves into irrational arguments and loaded discussions on sexism, racial prejudice and homophobia. Everyone enjoyed the play and were, over wine and light snacks, taken for a ride when things quickly escalated with the characters.
While there is nothing planned for April, we ARE looking for more volunteers to host our future play readings. All we are asking for is a space where people can come, relax, and discuss a play. Drink and snacks can be shared, and the committee can provide the play, depending on the number of sign-ups.If you are interested in hosting a play reading, please contact us at [email protected].
